I met him for the first time a couple of weeks ago. He was strongly recommended by several people. I was seeking another opinion post my first failed left knee surgery, conducted by a different surgeon (August, 2020). Dr Cannova is professional, a good listener, and confident in his delivery, which I found comforting. Dr. Christopher Cannova gave me a total left knee replacement on August 19, 2020. I was walking and driving my car by September 16, 2020. I now have no pain, but I was conscientious about doing all the exercises. He may seem reserved, but he is a very caring and genuine physician. Dr. Cannova is an extremely competent and skilled surgeon, and I recommend him very highly.
After a knee replacement he did went bad because the device (which had been recalled - not his fault, but he should have known or could have determined with a bone scan) he brushed me off with a "maybe you twisted it." I suffered at LEAST a year of unnecessary pain that could have been avoided if he'd been more engaged i my problem.
I’ve had three joints replaced by Dr. Cannova. Each experience was positive from start to finish. I highly recommend him!
Every aspect of my experience with Dr. Cannova was as good as you can get from start to finish. He is thoroughly professional and gifted as a surgeon. After two years my knee has no pain and reacts like the original knee. Friends couldn’t believe how quickly I returned to my usual activities. Given that I had been an athlete in my youth and had fallen on that knee three times, it was in bad shape before the operation. No one would guess that to see me walk today.
My experience with Dr. Cannova was very good. However, he is very serious and does not smile much. His empathy is difficult to assess.
Dr Cannova is the best. He is super. I had my right total hip replacement done in November 2018. He not only is a five star but rather a superstar in the medical profession. Thank you for the fantastic operation.
Was referred to him for knee replacement. Excellent care and he did a partial. Really appreciated his conservative approach.
Dr. Cannova is a gifted surgeon. His practice is extremely organized and provides excellent care and guidance. I would highly recommend them for someone considering joint replacement surgery.
