Dr Etscheidt is a phenomenal pediatrician - he takes time to listen, get to know the child (and family), performs detailed physical examinations, has thoughtful treatment plans and great communication skills - both with the child and parent. Our young daughter loves coming to the doctors office to see him, which is all thanks to the time he has taken to help her have good experiences and build trust with her. At 2 she asks for him by name and refers to him as her friend.
My younger children receive excellent care and learn something new at each of their appointments: Their experiences encourage them to be comfortable and to ask questions at a medical office. This helps us now, but will also help them as adults.
A friend recently asked for a pediatrician recommendation, and it was easy to recommend Dr. Chris. Here’s what I told my friend: We LOVE Dr. Chris Etscheidt at McFarland! Somehow he makes the appointments fun, and he definitely knows his stuff. He primarily talks directly to our kids (which is funny at first when they totally can’t talk back to him). Dr Chris is the best! He is so personable, compassionate, and professional. We trust his opinion and he is so great at interacting with our kids. I always feel our concerns are heard and he does a great job at helping us to be proactive about our kids’ health.
