I have an account with Wakefield. I noticed that the payments I have made do not show in the amount owed. I called Wakefield and was told that they charge interest, NO WHERE on the statement does it state that they are charging interest. They are supposed to stop charging me interest. (we will see). In an attempt to address the bills after recovering from a serious accident while I'm a paraplegic. This account was agreed to be written off at the time of service 2018 as I had no job or insurance and the hospital was aware of it. Documentation was provided that hospital **** was closed as charity case. I have other health issues and have not been employed since ***************************************

Most hospital charity letters indicate the services that are and may not be included. This specialists is not directly employed by the hospital and would not be aware of any financial arrangement made with the facility. Tried to pay a $117 medical bill online. Would not accept 2 different cards. I called choice to see if I could drop off payment. This is not allowed. Purchased a $50.00 money order and sent it to address. Checked website for remaining balance, which it was never able to give me. Called Choice on 9/27 asking what the pay-off was and had they received the first payment. They had so sent remaining payment 9/30. I called back last night after receiving a alert on my credit. Our records show slightly different dates. We have a recorded call with him on 09/28/2020 where he asked his remaining balance and received his final payment on 10/1/2020. Tried to pay online and my virus software said their payment site is infected. Warning to people who are trying to take care of bills and ZAP!
I don’t recommend any business to use choice recovery they take your money and swear that the bill hasn’t been paid even after they send you a receipt saying that the payment was processed no one should trust paying any bill through Choice Recovery because they take your money like did they are a piece of crap
This company called asking about a hospital bill. All the details didn’t match up. I’ve never been to the hospital they mentioned and I’m not with Aetna. They said they’d research and call back. Instead, I get an alert from my credit report saying they reported me.
