Not that great in my opinion. Saw him once for panic attack/severe anxiety. He wrote some prescriptions. He was attentive but didnt really do anything for me except prescribe me a drug. Was going to see him again except that he refused to cancel a \$110 late cancellation fee. I made the call 24 hrs ahead of time. His policy is 48 hrs but I had extinuating circumstances and I asked him if he would reconsider. He said no so I said goodbye. Dr Chmiel employees a very weak staff service which is inept at getting calls returned and filing insurance claims properly. I was promised by Dr Chmiels staff that my insurance would cover my visits, and followed their protocol step by step. In the end, the insurance did not cover Dr Chmiel, and I use Blue Cross, one of the biggest insurers. It took Dr Chmiels office more than 3 days to return my calls which were simply asking to confirm appointments, in fact they didnt even know his fax number. Dr Chmiel himself is a good ... read more
He is wonderful!!!! I saw him for about 5 years before I moved away from VA. Was so thoughtful and kind and I highly, highly recommend him.
Ive been seeing Dr. Chmiel for my A.D.D. for approximately three years. He is awesome. Professional, thorough, knowledgeable and thoughtful. I would strongly recommend him.
