Chino Latino in artsy Uptown is usually wall-to-wall people, noisy and busy. Chino Latino is about dressing well, being current and making the scene. Look for the sparkly glitter marquee. If you can, stake out a large round, comfortable booth or group size table. The food and drink is as chic as the crowd. The menu features dishes from south of the border and Asia with many selections being hot and spicy. Choose from tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, Sweet and Sour Chicken, spring rolls stuffed with shrimp, chicken or noodles, sh... read more

fun time, great food I did not know what to expect. After finding the non-descript entry I was pleasantly surprised. Great food, wonderful service and great drinks. What else could you ask for? Fun time? OK, I'm going back.
Chino Latino This place is unlike anything else around. The atmosphere alone makes the place great! Great food, great drinks, fun place! Always packed on the weekends, so if you plan to eat here, make reservations.
Great Restaurant in Uptown One of my favorite places to dine. They have one of the most unique and flavorful menus around. Specializing in South American and Chinese dishes, there is something for everyone to try.
Overrated – Chino Latino is a place to be seen at; not a place for a nice dinner. The Philippine Paella is good but I haven't had any other menu item that I would die for. The sushi isn't spectacular either.
WAAY OVER HYPED – I have eaten a chino's only at the request of out of town visitors because they think its "cool" and "trendy". What makes me sad is that there are hundreds of other, more unique, better staffed, better fooded places around the twin cities. PLEASE if you are visiting Minneapolis CHOOSE SOME WHERE ELSE to eat. Everytime I've eaten here the service has been inconsistent as has been the food. It's always over booked and crowded and the drinks are nothing to write home about. -Be cooler than the masses, go somew... read more
Unimpressed – I have heard many good things about Chino's but I was sadly disappointed when I finally went. My friend had made reservations for 10 and upon arriving, we realized we had 12. Even though we had made reservations, when we changed them by 2 people, we ended up waiting almost an hour to be seated. We asked the hostess if we could simply just squeeze the extra 2 people in at the table they had originally intended for us and they said that's what they were doing. So what I really don't understand is why that took th... read more
An Absolute Must! – A sleek and chic place in Uptown, Chino Latino has a fun, cosmopolitan vibe. The menu changes daily, and you really can't go wrong with any selection. The sushi is especially creative. It's a little loud for a date, but there is a decent party scene and great people watching on weekend nights. The service is friendly. I had a great time, and the food was incredible.
mid size party – Recently a few months ago my girlfriend had her birthday party. Keep in mind this was about 15 people in the group. When we walked in the restaurant had a fund little atmosphere, alot of life. When we were seated everyone ordered. Drinks were served promptly, but when I order an entree and someone down the table ordered the same item but in an appetizer, the server mixed up our orders. Rather than getting us a new order, she brought a plate and split the other plate at the other end and brought me the extra ... read more
Way Disapppointing! – Wow, I was extremely disappointed with this place! We went as part of a large party and were looking forward to it, as I had heard some great things. The atmosphere was good/fun but everything else was lacking. The food was mediocre at best and the dishes were skimpy on the ingredients that cost any money (heavy on the filler and garnish, light on meat). The worst part is that they weren't bringing out enough food to go around for the entire table- we kept having to ask them for more dishes so that ever... read more
