About this business

Chino Latino in artsy Uptown is usually wall-to-wall people, noisy and busy. Chino Latino is about dressing well, being current and making the scene. Look for the sparkly glitter marquee. If you can, stake out a large round, comfortable booth or group size table. The food and drink is as chic as the crowd. The menu features dishes from south of the border and Asia with many selections being hot and spicy. Choose from tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, Sweet and Sour Chicken, spring rolls stuffed with shrimp, chicken or noodles, sh... read more

Chino Latino never dissapoints! It's one of my favorite places to get together with friends and family to enjoy great food and drinks. The atmosphere is fun and inviting and the menu selection is great. Happy hour can get a little busy, so make sure to get in early if you want a seat at the bar or a good table. All in all, for the price, it's a great night out.

I am sure there are other better places – I am sure there got to be other better places in Minneapolis for a date night. So lets be fair and talk about it. The food was not bad. It depends a lot on what you order. If you happen to order the Shrimp Tempura version of Chino Latino, you will be in heaven. It was just mind blowing. However if you happen to make the mistake of order a the nachos, you will suck yourself to death. Now I am sure there are other great dishes to order. Their sushi was good. However my problem was with... read more

You've Gotta Be Kidding Me – Looking to prepare your own food, sift through pretentiously titled entrees, endure bad service, choke down mediocre food and navigate an unnecessarily co-ed bathroom? Try Chino Latino. Actual quote from our waiter as he delivered our beef appetizer: "Ever eaten this before? No? Well you just take the largest, outside piece of the iceberg lettuce, place a piece of beef, some kimchi, and spread some seared red onions inside, wrap it up, tie it with some parsley sprig we have supplied here and eat ... read more

Cute kick it spot with the girls! – This is a great spot to go to an kick it with the girls. It's a nice spot in the heart of uptown minneapolis. The food is delish! It's a little spendy depending on what you get. One food that I don't recommend to get would be the plantanes. . . .but I did LOVE the spare ribs that they serve in the honey bbq glaze and the deep fried snickers with ice cream. At the end of the day it's a decent spot to go to!

Like standing a hundred feet next to a rocket launch. – Four of us ate here last night. The food and service were very good. This little review, however, will be devoted to the absurd and inexcusable cacophony. We've been to many loud restaurants in the TC, but this is the prizewinner in that dubious category. I watched the wait staff cope with it by bending over close to diners in an attempt to hear them. We even had one of the better, sound-wise, tables near the front, yet we spent the entire (otherwise enjoyable) meal yel... read more

Nice But Overpriced – I went with some friends and had a good time, unfortunately, the service was pretty poor. The food was okay, but the drinks were WAY too overpriced.

So over...... – Mediocre food, indifferent service, " NYC 'Asia de Cuba' wannabe" way past its prime (if it ever had one). Save your money and your time.

Go to Azia – This place has a cool atmosphere, good location, and the food is actually good. I like the happy hour deals and the smores dessert. The service is AWFUL and the group policy is horrid! Make sure to bring cash if you plan to pay separately as they will not split checks or run more than one card. Make sure to carefully look over your tab to see how much gratuity has been added. FYI, you do not have to pay the manually added gratuity. Seriously, Azia, nearby, is much cooler and better. Plus, a few of the desserts a... read more

Never gets old – I have been going to Chino since they opened. The quality of the food has changed over the years, the blackberry mohito martini has less puree than it used to, and it caters more the the suburb crowd but it stil is Chino Latino. They need to open up locations in SF, Chicago, and NYC if you ask me. The service can be touch and go but what I have learned is that the severs are trained to be sassy, and sometimes they get too busy to provide five star service but I have never had terrible service. They are fun a... read more
