About this business

Chima Steakhouse named after chimarrao, a traditional drink of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, that symbolizes hospitality and friendship-certainly lives up to its name. Legend has it, in South Brazil traditional gauchos (cowboys) would consume a diet that consisted almost entirely of beef. The meat was seasoned, placed on skewers, and slow cooked over a wood burning flame. Historically, gauchos were known for their generosity and hospitality.

We love Chima. My husband and I normally go to the Fort Lauderdale location. The Fort Lauderdale location seems to be more upscale. It appears that the salad bar could be improved, but the meat taste and selection here is as good as ever.

Wouldn't validate parking for a party of 4. Picked THREE bottles of wine that they were out of. Manager came over and said they would make some recommendations and take care of us. We weren't choosing cheap wines, the recommendation was 30% more than what we were selecting, no mention of price difference, no offer for the trouble. Had they come back in a reasonable amount of time each time they didn't have the wine, it wouldn't have been so bad, our wine was poured 40 minutes after seating. For the money we spent, we could h... read more

Went last night and did not realize it was restaurant week. Still ended up doing the full Rodizio as the restaurant week menu had a limited selection. Meats were good. Our server was kind of odd and eccentric, seemed very nervous and unprofessional and kept asking us to try this alcoholic Brazilian ginger ale even though we ordered 2 bottles of wine.
