I took my daughter to the ER last night and it was the worst experience ever. Her surgeon is from Ohio and yes we live in KS. She was having constant nerve pain and there was nothing I could do. The dr on call in Ohio said to take her to a children's mercy hospital or the university hospital because they should know what to do. We spend 7 hours to find out nothing and they would not even give her anything for the nerve pain at all. They never offered her a blanket or a pillow and the room was freezing. They don't like to listen to you I know my son best he's autistic and I have to speak up for him I really dislike this hospital, the Children's Mercy in Overland also needs to step it up and offer everything that the downtown Children's Mercy offers so I never have to come to the inner city one they both need more staff I must say though the nurses were great and the other staff
Children's mercy hospitals are awesome. They make it possible for our children to be treated for things that most places cannot figure out. We have gotten further with children's mercy and our daughters diagnosis in less than 1 year vs several with her regular Doctors. Great place. All staff is friendly and understanding.
They are wonderful to the kiddos and to the parents as well . They take the extra time if needed to actually listen to what questions you have and make sure you understand without talking above you . �
