My son spent his life at Children's Mercy hospital from July 31, 1980 until February 22, 1981. The care he received was beyond comparison. I was a young mother with another child at home and only able to spend a limited amount of time with my son. When Michael passed away, I think it was just as hard on the hospital staff as it was on my family. Obviously they are still providing excellent care.
Everyone on 2 Henson is wonderful! After my 10 month old son had surgery for lipomyelomeningocele they made all the difference. Laura, Rachel, Michelle, Caitlin, Amy, Collin, Neomi, Sammie and Courtney will forever hold a special place in our hearts! Their kindness, patience and extraordinary care made our visit so much easier! Thank you all so much!!!
Spent alot of time here with my son for his Leukemia and the experience was good! Karen Lewing and the nurses in the Hem/Onc clinic are great! Both of my children have had multiple surgeries here! My nephew spent 6+ months here without even leaving his room and received a bone marrow transplant! If it wasn't for this place we would have lost him! They make sure parents have what they need to be there for their children. My children are almost to old to come here and that is the very sad for us! It is hard to always make thin... read more
My daughter has been here for a week, the staff is very knowledgeable, caring, and attentive. Wish I didn't have to be here, but its the best place for my daughters care!
