Great people with actual compassion for the kids they take care of!
The staff was friendly but the wait time was ridiculous. We arrived at the ER at 8:30 pm. Weren't taken back to a room until 1am. My daughter was finally admitted for observation at almost 6am. I do completely understand that #1 it was a Friday night and #2 it's a holiday weekend. After being admitted and finally getting a room I fell asleep after being awake for a full 24 hrs, an hr later multiple people came in the room to check on her which was fine, but my goodness have some darn respect when you see someone sleeping! We were just up there for our daughters broken arm, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure we had anything we needed! They were so patient with her (she is 4) and were so friendly and nice. She was having such a good time with all the crafts and movies to watch she didn't want to go home! That told me that she was comfortable and happy there! I just wanted to thank all the nurses and drs, you all were fantastic!!!
We have always had wonderful doctors and nurses at Children's Mercy when we've taken our kids there. They really go above and beyond!
I love the care my son has received in the different clinics we have been to inside Children's Mercy.
