I cannot say enough great things about the picu! We've been here 3 months now as my daughter has cut (hlhs) they listen to everything you have to say and take you seriously! It's gets really crowded once in a while as the cardiac side is small but it's still so nice! Love our nurses and drs. They have saved my daughter's life multiple times. Dr Peter has done her two open hearts and he is famtastic! He communicates with parents so well! Love this place!!!
We are "frequent flyers" at CMH because one of my kids has a significant disability. Over the last 11+ years (since my daughter was born,) we have watched CMH's commitment to excellence in action. From saving lives to supporting the whole family (in addition to the patient) to recognizing good healthcare goes far beyond the walls of the hospital and clinics, we have seen CMH question what would make things better, how to make it happen, make improvements, and then look at what else. I have had two surgeries at CMH. Both being done by Dr. St. Peter. My first surgery was an appendectomy but not just an ordinary appendectomy. My appendix had started to corroded inside of me. If it wasn't for Dr. St. Peter and the nurses from 2 Henson I probably wouldn't be alive today. My second surgery was a cholecystectomy. I was supposed to go home the same day but after maxing out on pain meds I was admitted and once again received excellent care from the nurses on 2 Henson.
