For 100 years, the mission of Children's HealthSM has been to make life better for children. Our beginnings in 1913 were humble, but our vision even then was big. Today, our team takes great pride in being the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the country, and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in the area. Children's Medical Center Dallas is home to the only academic healthcare system in North Texas that is dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18.

So first of all I want to thank God AND Medical city hospital in Dallas, because of them my son is alive. Now let me get to you children's hospital �! On the evening of March 2nd my kid had excruciating pain in his lower right abdomen (to the point that he couldn't even walk) right away we took him to children's knowing that it probably was his appendix. I want to recognize one very special nurse. On Saturday my daughter became very sick and at 11 weeks that is very serious. I called the nurse advice line and spoke with Wayne (RN) was very helpful and walked me through what I could do to help my daughter. The next day I had to call back and he had said I could ask for him so I did and again Wayne went above and beyond for us. He knew something wasn't right and told us to take our baby to the ER.
