Today, our team takes great pride in being the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the country, and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in the area. Children's Medical Center Dallas is home to the only academic healthcare system in North Texas that is dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18.

RecommendedThe nurses are great, the day surgery manager is incredible , but man these rooms are AWFUL! To expect a parent of an infant to sleep in a chair that doesn’t even lay down is insane! Doesn’t even resemble a bed! I have to be with my son since he gets breastmilk but this is truly not family friendly!

My daughter switched neurology teams in August. Our first experience with children’s was at the neurology clinic. Early Wednesday morning sadly we needed to head to the er to get my daughter’s seizures under control. From the on call neuro(forgot his name) who advised me how to proceed before deciding we needed more than just at home care to the er medical staff and the hospital staff in general have all been wonderful to say the least. My daughter and I spent 90% of 2019 here! She has a VERY rare neurological autoimmune disease and the youngest to be diagnosed with it. After having 8 attacks in one year her amazing Neurologist Dr. Cindy Wang brought the idea of Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant! On April 14, 2020 she became the FIRST pediatric patient in the WORLD with her disease to have the HSCT! Dr. Victor Aquino was the doctor over seeing her care for HSCT! We had Dr Alex Kane, he was absolutely wonderful! So polite, gave all information i had questions for, without having to ask. Down to earth, great Dr! He removed a nevus birthmark from my 17 month old boy from his bottom.

honestly screw this hospital. I understand and appreciate they are taking the pandemic seriously but to only allow ONE person in when an extremely sensitive, barely two year old child is having surgery and has to wait HOURS beforehand in a strange scary environment is straight up SADISTIC. We explained our unique situation and begged and begged them to make an exception and they would not. As if this experience is not traumatic enough for my child? I have been trying to schedule an appointment for my daughter with the Pediatric Endocrinology department for three weeks. My insurance company has sent authorizations 4 times now. Who ever is scheduling appointments has not a clue as how to do there job. She obviously needs to be retrained or fired. This is no joke some children have serious issues and need care ASAP.
