For 100 years, the mission of Children's HealthSM has been to make life better for children. Our beginnings in 1913 were humble, but our vision even then was big. Today, our team takes great pride in being the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the country, and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in the area. Children's Medical Center Dallas is home to the only academic healthcare system in North Texas that is dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18.

Worst hospital ever! I am currently sitting in the ER lobby, WAITING for my son to be seen (we were brought by an ambulance) my son had a seizure due too high temperature and have been in this waiting area since about 6:30am this morning, it is now currently 11am!! Others are being taken in before my son and they came AFTER us. Other patients have LEFT due to them taking HOURS to been seen by someone. All the staff keeps telling me they are taking patients in by worst case first but I just don’t understand how a seizure ISNT... read more
RecommendedChildren’s is an awesome awesome place! I once lived here for most of my childhood, to be honeat one of my stays cost me 44 says str8 BUT the staff was soooo compassionate caring nurturing and understanding they made me feel loved and like I was at home. I struggled with something called nephrotic syndrome and to this day I’m 34yrs old and I still fight with this disease! took, two babies grand daughters here both very sick. after 3 hours left, was told 5 more hours before seen. this is the worst place to take sick kids. we went to other hospital. Both babies seem in less than an hour. both had RSV and one had pneumonia. Don't take your kids here!

the doctor's and staff are real respectful.
We had the best experience with all of the staff, from the cleaning ladies to the nurses and doctors, they all were so welcoming and friendly. It makes a not so fun situation bearable. My son bonded with the staff during his 2 week stay and was sad to say goodbye.
They took great care of all my kids!
I’ve never had a bad experience with Children’s up until today. I have NEVER had to wait as long as I am currently waiting! My child passed out, which would appear to be seizure like, 4hrs later & absolutely nothing has happened. His vitals was checked ONCE ; Virginia in the ER basically said there are ambulances coming through the back & they are very busy. As big as this hospital is PLUS fast track, it’s nearly impossible for not even NOTHING to be done. I am HIGHLY disappointed.
The staff here are so welcoming and friendly... they are very caring and understanding when the parents are stressed
