For 100 years, the mission of Children's HealthSM has been to make life better for children. Our beginnings in 1913 were humble, but our vision even then was big. Today, our team takes great pride in being the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the country, and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in the area. Children's Medical Center Dallas is home to the only academic healthcare system in North Texas that is dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18.

RecommendedVery disappointed with the hospital’s decision to replace the children’s train station with a Starbucks.
Please reconsider removing the trains! Consider the joy they bring to sick and or scared children. Consider the smiles it brings to the parents and visitors faces. I understand the Starbucks and Panera would be useful but the trains should be included in the design.
In addition to the care we received here, our kids always loved the trains. It is part of what makes it special for kids when they are going through a hard time. Please don’t get rid of the trains.
Shame on you for taking these trains down. The children and their families love them. It gives them a escape. Children don’t drink coffee. Leave the trains and nix the #starbucks
The Trains are Cathartic for the Kids! The best medicine. Please keep them. Nobody needs an overpriced Starbucks or Panera!

I am very disappointed to hear they are getting rid of their wonderful train display the kids love so they can replace the therapeutic trains with a money making vendors who will not do any good for the kids just line the hospital administrators pockets. Way to go guys.
