Our daughter was born 6 weeks early and spent 2 1/2 months in the NICU. She is here today because of the fantastic team at Children's Hospital and the choices they made to treat her complications from being a preemie. We will never be able to repay Children's and the wonderful staff for taking such amazing care of our little girl and for bringing her safely through two surgeries. My son wasn't the sickest kid in the ICU, by far, but his nurses and RT's were fabulous, truly practicing the 'art' of their professions. I know the teams of physicians that I've encountered on various occasions with my three boys were looking at my kids' health issues from multiple angles. I drive across the state to continue care with our established specialists. As an adult critical care nurse myself, I won't take my kids anywhere else for specialty care.
My son was born at 28 weeks and was in the NICU for 69 days. I couldn't feel more safe and at peace with the care he received at Children's. The nurses there are some of the kindest, most patient, and most understanding people I have ever met. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my boy :-)
