Sent my 87-year-old mom home yesterday with covid and in bad shape. She was up there a day before they started an IV. I had to go get my own wheelchair to wheel her out of the hospital when she was released.
My dad had been experiencing elevated blood pressures over the weekend so, there was no other options, we knew my dad needed to be at Memorial for their excellent heart care if he were to be admitted. We drove to the ER, and got checked in. Once we were triaged, the Nurse Practicioner came in for a brief assessment. She asked a series of questions and performed a neurological assessment on him to assess for stroke. Obviously, no stroke, but high BP readings.
