fantastic i regularly get spa services and hair services done at changes. i have never had a bad expreirence since i started going there a few years ago. my husband has also been to jakes place to get his hair cut anf they always do a great job. i would recommend anyone to go to changes, or jakes place for the men, over any other ghent salon.
Changes is a bit of a mill. Most of their people are good, but they have a fairly high turnover. We go there and it is fine, but the story from the woman who checked in and was ignored even as people spoke about her not showing up is entirely credible. the City Spa has it all I've been going to Changes for almost 10 years, and have seen them grow by leaps and bounds over that period. Their new building is an interesting use of space, as it looks like a cottage from the front and a Manhattan-esque loft from the back, but the interior flows smoothly. Not impressed Changes is great if you enjoy being treated like a number. From the time you go in and sit down in a crowded uncomfortable waiting area, to being walked back through wall to wall people to your stylist's station. I have felt rushed and the personnel at the checkout were not friendly. It seems to be more of a 'get em in and get em out' mentality there. ho-humm i went for a spa day, and left less than impressed! the service was ok, the girls acted like they would rather be else where but were stuck at work and just filling a space. i wouldn't recommend them, for the amount it cost to go you would expect a little more .
Great haircuts! I have gotten my hair cut, styled, colored, and eyebrows waxed here. Very professional atmosphere. They love to make you feel at home by offering you cookies, tea, or coffee during your visit. I have never had any complaints with thier work. They do have a day spa that I have heard wonderful things about, but have yet to get to try it! Thier prices vary dependant upon the stylist you use, but thier prices are very good for the quality work they do.
Michelle G I have been to Changes a few times for a manicure and pedicure. Each time was an extremely pleasant experience. All staff members were friendly and were ready to meet your every need. They made sure you were comfortable with magazines, water, etc. They specialize in pampering you!
Time to change salons Changes used to be the best in the area-no more.Yesterday the stylist I had had a poor attitude, and did the least she could to assist me. She pulled my hair and it hurt...several times. The best part of a haircut is how good it all feels, not this time. Clients should also be informed if stylist is a smoker, her stinky hands in my hair turned my stomach. the cashier also told me what a deal I got because she was a level 3 stylist and usually costs more-you have to be kidding.
Not Impressed! I was excited about my upcoming spa experience when I won a free pedicure through my job. Since this was free, I decided to really splurge and pay for a 1 hour massage too. I called a week in advance to make my appt, and at that time was not told there were two separate locations. So, day of appt, I show up at the wrong location at first.
