My spouse went in for knee replacement. The staff was excellent on every level. They were happy to answer any and all questions and were very pleasant. Would choose them again.

The Emergency room staff is a joke. My wife has an enlarged spleen, so we took her in tonight because she is in excruciating pain, the doctor did a urine test which was irrelevant, and came back saying everything was normal and there is nothing wrong with her kidneys. KIDNEYS? Her spleen is inflamed... Then the doctor sends her out with medicine for Acid Reflux, and the discharge papers stating why we were there says she was seen for GERD??? What is this nonsense? Her SPLEEN is enlarged and she's having pain, like you know..... read more

If you owe type of past balance they will not due type of procedurem I was schedule to have my gall bladder removed and could not have it done because I had a past balance. I was also informed that having my gall bladder removed was an optional surgery even though the surgeon told me it need to be done. A JOKE. The most unprofessional hospital I have EVER been to. I already sent my survey with a long letter stating my disgust. However, I want to bring awareness to others of the appalling behavior of many of the nurses. I only came in contact with 2 other doctors, but Dr Burton, who did my gallbladder surgery was great. Thank GOD. If anyone asks, I'll go into further detail, but one of the things I experienced was a disrespectful nurse and this nurse yelled at her patient almost the entire day! APPALLING!! This was the day I... read more

Have had so many experiences there from blood work, ER, to Surgery and Childbirth(which sadly isn't available anymore there) . All Good. Short wait for outpatient services. Just go to another hospital and you will see how convenient CSMC at Windber is . with higher standers of quality and care. Also the CLEANEST Hospital I have ever been in from Windber to J Hopkins. ITS ALL GOOD!
