Care was awful in the emergency room department they discharged me and didn't address the issues went to Conemagh and had a blood infection and seven kidney stones had to have emergency surgery Windber Hospital is very poorly run and nursing staff could careless how they treat their patients it's as if I was in a Third World Country the care I received was awful I would never recommend this hospital to anybody

Very disappointed in the ER last night. Had been starting to feel dehydrated and very ill. Covid test results hadn’t come back yet. Place was barely busy had to wait over an hour. A few highlights of a miserable experience... 1. Staff totally nasty towards anyone Covid. 2. Could barely sit up any longer and was basically told there was nothing they could do and sent me back to the waiting room after triage. 3. No iD bracelet given initially. 4. RecommendedWent today after seeing two other places for my broken ankle/foot and did not leave disappointed! They fitted me for a new boot and informed me of everything I need to do and what is exactly wrong. We went to their walk in orthopedic clinic, and I highly recommend Mrs. Adams and her crew!!

I had to visit the ER yesterday due to chest pains and the ER nurses were SO RUDE! it started with the waiting room being full so my sister and I wanted by the front desk, the nurse there was clearly over worked and said "miss chest pains is staring at me" which i wasn't. None of the nurses asked me if I had been in contact with anyone with Covid, then when I told them I had been in contact with someone they were extremely rude to me. I over heard the one nurse say "I'm not getting anything for her till this test comes back"... read more

Yesterday i had arthroscopy done on my knee. The nurses. anesthesiologist. and Dr. Bizousky were all great and caring. The room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend them and I would go there again.
I had a procedure done there today. The Dr.was excellent and on time, and all staff helping him were extremely helpful and so very courteous, made the procedure less stressful. Would highly recommend Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber.
needs a update in Staff to more caring nurses as well as dr's kets put it this way i now go all the way to Somerset Pa hospital
I had a knee replacement on 11/11/19. The staff was so nice and treated me like I was important not just a number. When I got to wing 3 everyone there was so sweet. My RN Jenn S. I can't spell her last name was amazing. No matter what I needed she made sure I had it. She is so compassionate and considerate I think she needs an award or some kind of recognition for her nursing care and kind heart. Maybe even a merit raise.
