I have recommended Dr Chafik to many people in my retirement community because I was so impressed with my surgical experience. Dr Chafik is very thorough in explaining all the details, but I did believe him when he said no physical therapy would be needed after surgery. He was right! I needed no sling and had almost full movement within days. The west side office is very efficient. His medical assistant is excellent in preparing for the appointment and with follow up. I seldom had to wait.

I saw this MD after 1+ years of 24/7 shoulder pain as my orthopedic MD was on leave. After 3 visits, another MRI (ask for contrast!), and an injection, I was essentially told that there wasn't a definitive diagnosis; made to feel stupid and wasteful of his time. "More PT?" he suggested. I left in tears and frustration. Luckily my previous MD was back to work a few weeks later. Long story short, I had a SLAP tear repaired with anchors & sutures and more shoulder issues fixed that this MD missed.

Dr. Chafik performed my shoulder replacement surgery. He did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him. Not only was he great, his office staff, Carlos, is so helpful and supportive. I put it off for a long time, and I was so glad I chose Dr Chafik. Thank you.

Dr. Chafik is a very professional person. He really helped me out in getting my arm fixed. He is somebody you can trust. He always came in to see me right away when I was in the examining room. I highly recommend him.
