Difficult front desk. I have to agree with some of these reviews here about the front desk staff. It's unfortunate that I cant even meet the doctors because I haven't been able to get through the front desk. The problem is I cant seem to give a good enough reason to get my pet checked out. All I want is a check up like people who want to stay healthy they need to get checked in case anything could be wrong. I've called twice already and both times have been turned down for an appointment. I'm confused because I'm beginning t... read more

Chabot Veterinary Clinic is great! Dr. Marmolejo is great too! I agree with everyone's comments. Dr. Marmolejo is awesome! So nice and he really remembers my animals and their history from memory - not just from charts.

Bad Medicine! Beware!!! Bad medicine!!! Beware of the vet who provides service on Saturdays. Dr Charlotte is a part time vet at this clinic, fills in on Saturdays, and does not have a business card at the front desk. I'm not sure where she's from or if she practices medicine permanently anywhere but she is BAD!!!! Dr Charlotte put my pet on a treatment plan that sent him to the EMERGENCY VET. I spent thousands for the emergency vet to save my pet's life. The vet at the emergency clinic immediately took my pet off the medicat... read more

WORST VET CLINIC IN EAST BAY This place is awful, just so unprofessional and awful. The docs are great, hence the one star, but the front office staff, like other have said here (CHECK FILTERED REVIEWS TOO), are apathetic, idiotic chicks with barely a brain attached to their skull. We brought our dog here with a bladder infection and the docs were great. However, because of the lack of communication, it took 3 hours to get a simple test and meds completed. I was shocked when my bill was $200 for something so simple, but I di... read more

The Best I think these are the best you can find. I have worked for a couple of Vets. One was very well priced but the service was quite lacking. One was very high end and very high prices. These people do the maximum amount for the minimum amount of money. And then aside from the money and ethical aspects, they care, they care, they care. There is a lot of heart over there. And the doctors talk to you on your level, they don't have that "I can't be bothered with questions" additude you can get. We have only been with them f... read more

Fantastic Vet I have been going to this vet for about seven years. The staff is great and the doctors are very knowledgeable. My kitty and dog both feel comfortable when they are there. Their rates are reasonable and the staff sends reminders to me when my pets are due for their next visit. They even have a side for the dogs and a side for the kitties so neither one gets frightened. They care. PROS: Location convinent CONS:

Dr George I took my cat, Rascal there to have hit put down because he was old and sick. Dr George actually cried as he was gave the cat the shot. He gave me a huge hug and said that I was an excellent mom , that I cared for Rascal (who was 20 years old) as best as I could considering his age and health problems. He and Dr Sue are the best vets I have ever taken my cats to. They are compassionate, caring people. Rascal hated the vets but that day he actually purred for Dr George.

Vet to the Rescue My old blind cocker spaniel fell off my balcony in 2007. I thought she was safe but she landed at my downstairs neighbor's feet. They scooped her up and took her to Chabot Veterinary Clinic. Her collar had her name and telephone number on it. Dr. George Marmolejo called me personally and told me what happened. She had never done this before. He showed much compassion (and he wasn't even my vet!) and it was mutually decided to put Brandy down. A few days later, I received a condolence card with a lock of her... read more

Dr. G! I just have to say that Dr. Marmolejo is the best vet I have ever been with. He is thee most caring person towards my dogs. I don't put up comments but I needed to get my comment out. He doesn't rush, always will take his time for you and his love for dogs really show. I had to put one of my dogs down one day, on a rush basis. The office was very busy. But he took the time to make it very serene for my last few minutes with her. Thank you Dr. G!!
