I've had better food from chains... – My wife and I, looking for something takeout in the Pearl District, decided to try Cha Cha Cha!. We ordered a Steak Asada burritto, a Carnitas burritto, an order of corn chips and guacamole, and an order of flan. Okay... The steak asada was VERY salty - I'm a salt hog, and even I thought it was excesive. Other than salt, there was really no flavor at all - The meat was mushy, the beans had no spice, and everything was lukewarm. The carnitas tasted like a dry pork roast - no seasonings, n... read more

Cozy Mexican Spot, So-So Food – I went to Cha! Cha! Cha! this past Saturday with a group of 7 (2 that were kids) and the first thing I learned immediately is that this place is not ideal for big groups. We managed to wrangle two tables together for our dining party, but only after a little of waiting. Although the place is small, the decor and ambiance are bright and homely. I ordered the hard tacos with chicken at the great price of $4.50/95ish. The meat was a little drier than I would have liked, but otherwise they were ta... read more

Great Mexican – Cha Cha Cha (in the Pearl) is one my favorite places to eat in Portland. I take everyone who comes to visit me there. Everything is pretty cheap (and you get a lot for your $$), there's lots of things on the menu and everything I've had there has been really good. (I'm partial to the Flautitas.) It's good Mexican food, not greasy; they use nice, fresh ingredients... Note that this is coming from a fairly picky eater! The service is quick to average, depending on how busy they are. As for cons, the service isn... read more

Cheap, mostly good but odd service... – What appears to be a fast growing Mexican chain is welcome in our Beaumont neighborhood. The tacos and burritos are imaginative and flavorable. And it's very inexpensive. After four visits to the Fremont location, though, I have to gripe about the setting and the service. The tables are arranged as mostly two-tops and close together so that it's hard to come as a larger group. The times we've been there, the music is too loud to permit conversation. And the chairs are these weird strai... read more

Not good Tex-Mex, not good period – From the reviews, I have the impression that ChaChaCha uses pumpers to inflate its reviews. One visit was sufficient to convince me that this is not good Tex-Mex, not authentic Mexican, and not good food.

Authentic Mexican and NOT Tex-Mex food – Ok for those from California and talking about real burritos, let me just say that Cha cha cha has the most authentic food i have ever tasted. I was born in mexico and lived there for 20years (unfortuantely my job transferred me to the us) and have eaten in the real street taquerias (taco stands on the street ) CHA CHA CHA has the same flavor. If you want to expirience real authientic food eat any of the tacos, this is how real taquerias serve them in mexico and if you want a little m... read more
