I had my cataract surgery done in minutes. Absolutely no pain. It was actually a pleasant experience! I would recommend this procedure and Dr Shoemaker to anyone who wants to see clearly again and better yet to see without glasses!

“On May 15th, 2018 Dr. Shoemaker performed cataract surgery on me using the new multifocal lens. While initially I had some concerns as to the accuracy of this lens, the surgery far exceeded my expectations. Not only am I 20-20 out of the surgically corrected eye at a distance but my intermediate vision is greatly improved so that the use of glasses for using my computer is no longer needed. The staff both before and after surgery answered all my questions in a most professional manner. Thank yo

The Center for Sight is a very "well oiled" machine. Friendly and efficient.
Dr. Shoemaker was recommended to me by a surgeon-friend from Maine many years ago. However, I did not visit the Center until I needed catarack surgery. I expected to see an older man about ready to retire; however Dr. Shoemaker was younger than me (years had gone by) and made me feel at home and comfortable about my surgery. Every experience at the eye surgery was a positive one, and I came away from the eye surgery with fantastic vision , feeling like a miracle had occurred. Thank you to all!

I was referred to find out whether cataracts are the cause of a condition I am having. They do tests then make you wait 20- 30 minutes in between. From 2:30- 5:00 waiting. Before the Dr. comes in the assistant asks me what surgery I would choose, not knowing if I need it. Dr. comes in and says"what can I help you with"? Really?He checked my eyes, asked a few questions and was short and curt and cut me off. Maybe 10 minutes . I don't think he cared about my issue at all. Angry.

He has no people skills is rude and condescending. Just running business with no regard for the patient. I believe he is telling patients they need more than medicare allows for testing and treatment of cataracts. When I told him I wanted to think about making decision he abruptly got up and left the room. No sale so he was done. I wasted 3 hours there repeating tests his office did 2 weeks prior which medicare probably wont pay. Save time, money and don't expose yourself to his insults.
