Dream Dress plus Great Experience I found Catherine Simms online, searching for a specific dress. I went there and showed the pictures of what I was looking for, and they had THE DRESS at thier fingertips. I was able to try it on, make changes that they were already familar with, and have it all for the price we wanted. Very nice experience.... I really enjoyed my experience in this store. I made an appointment, and was 20 minutes late---but they were still very accomodating. The staff was friendly, helped me in and out of the gowns, and clipped the ones that didn't fit, so that I could get an idea of what it would look like in my correct size. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, knowing what would look best on my body type. Poor Quality/poor alterations We went there for a purpose other than bridal dress. Normally I wouldn't make such an extravagant purchase, but this was supposed to be a "special dress" for my daughters graduation, PLUS a wedding in the family, which is coming up later. The "service" was nice enough, but the "product" was TERRIBLE! We had "alterations" done on it which cost $100!!! The first time my daughter wore the dress, she took ONE STEP and the seam ripped up the back about 4". She was already at her dance!!! I called imm... read more
No Good! Catherine Simms is overpriced, customer service is poor, and management is unsatisfactory. In my situation, the store moved locations without telling me or my bridesmaids. You can find the same quality dresses and same designers for MUCH less at other stores in the area. Just from personal experience, I would strongly advise you to try other places.
Unsatisfactory This is the most unprofessional bridal store I have ever been to. I went in a couple weeks ago to look for wedding dresses. I was in the store for about 30 minutes before someone actually noticed I was there. When I said I wanted to look at a dress, the sales associate said she was helping someone else and it would be another 15 minutes. After waiting another 30, we just left. I will NEVER, EVER go back and you should take caution before going too! Dresses are overpriced and really not worth the wait!

Very happy customer! I was really happy with my experience there. Everyone working there is super nice and helpful. I made appointments both times I went in before buying and was helped promptly and attentively. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, tack on accessories, etc. Though I did end up buying a few more things later on and that all went smoothly as well.
Best bridal shop in the Chicago area I cannot say enough good things about Catherine Simms. It is the first place that I went when I was looking for a wedding dress. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. They gave me enough space to look around for myself, but they were always right there to help out with any assistance that I needed. I found a dress that I liked, but I had some reservations about certain aspects of the cut of the dress.
