Personable and Caring-- A Place Like This is What Every Bride Needs! I had been flustered planning out my wedding and getting a wedding dress. Been to a few places to try on dresses and they either made me feel uncomfortable or totally ignored me (bad customer service). Here both women were very nice. Not A Happy Customer! I usually do not write reviews, but I just had to for this place. My mom and I went in this bridal store a couple of days ago to look for my bridal gown. We waited forever before someone noticed us. We didnât say anything and the lady brought us the gown. There were about 8 other people in there at the time and only two staff members. Dream Dress plus Great Experience I found Catherine Simms online, searching for a specific dress. I went there and showed the pictures of what I was looking for, and they had THE DRESS at thier fingertips. I was able to try it on, make changes that they were already familar with, and have it all for the price we wanted. Best bridal shop in the Chicago area I cannot say enough good things about Catherine Simms. It is the first place that I went when I was looking for a wedding dress. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. They gave me enough space to look around for myself, but they were always right there to help out with any assistance that I needed. I found a dress that I liked, but I had some reservations about certain aspects of the cut of the dress. Very nice experience.... I really enjoyed my experience in this store. I made an appointment, and was 20 minutes late---but they were still very accomodating. The staff was friendly, helped me in and out of the gowns, and clipped the ones that didn't fit, so that I could get an idea of what it would look like in my correct size. Had no problems here... I am usually not the type to write reviews either, but after so many negatives I felt I just had to say something. As with most bridal stores, it is really necessary to make an APPOINTMENT to insure you receive quality service. If there are 2 people working, 8 customers in the store and you show up without an appt, of course there are going to be problems. Poor Quality/poor alterations We went there for a purpose other than bridal dress. Normally I wouldn't make such an extravagant purchase, but this was supposed to be a "special dress" for my daughters graduation, PLUS a wedding in the family, which is coming up later. The "service" was nice enough, but the "product" was TERRIBLE! We had "alterations" done on it which cost $100!!! Unsatisfactory This is the most unprofessional bridal store I have ever been to. I went in a couple weeks ago to look for wedding dresses. I was in the store for about 30 minutes before someone actually noticed I was there. When I said I wanted to look at a dress, the sales associate said she was helping someone else and it would be another 15 minutes. After waiting another 30, we just left. I will NEVER, EVER go back and you should take caution before going too! Dresses are overpriced and really not worth the wait!
Great little shop This is such a nice place to do business. I was able to take my time and the girls really helped me without being pushy. I am in love with my dress and I and really had fun with the entire experience. I would highly recommend this cute little shop!
