We were charged for a unit we never received and still have not rectified the situation since we have had no response from Casteel. Very disappointed!!!

Technicians have been great every time we have used them. However, their charges have gotten to be OUTRAGEOUS! Use someone else, a small business owner, whose charges for the service provided are reasonable and who knows the value of your hard-earned dollars!!

Apparently lack of local ownership is the reason our experience this weekend is so starkly different from our previous experience with Casteel. We had used Casteel several times in the past and were very satisfied. Our water heater stopped working last week. Casteel sent a tech out and he said it was the pilot light. Two days later, the water heater stopped working again, and contrary to its advertisements, Casteel was NOT willing to have someone come out the same day, or the next day, or the third day. This once locally-owned company is no longer worthy of my trust. They are now part of a corporate conglomerate and the core values demonstrated in the past are exactly that... They have violated my trust in their brand, customer service and experience. STEER CLEAR, unless those are attributes you aspire to.

The staff at Casteel are attentive to the problem and always trying to meet the customers needs. The plumbing technician, William, was knowledgeable, efficient and proactive in adjusting my new water heater. And he was great at educating me about the important shutoff valves plus troubleshooting tips the homeowner can do before calling the professional.

Mixed reviews on the technicians work and their pricing. They recommended the Mac-daddy HVAC system which is overkill for my needs. Felt they were more interested in money than helping the customer with an affordable solution. They are a good company that will back their work so I’m not trashing them but my attempt to try a reputable firm will result in going with a small company.
