Cassell’s Hamburgers first opened its doors in the year 1948. An iconic LA tradition for several years, this bustling burger joint had a modest start in a small place. It now occupies Hotel Normandie, a historic property on the other end of Koreatown. Retaining some of the original equipment and preparation methods, Cassell's offers an extensive hamburger menu for dinner, lunch and breakfast. Home-style sodas, 50's delights, lush coffee and flavorsome hamburgers greet diners, stopping in for an early morning breakfast ... read more

Good food and service. Typical LA though and way over priced!!
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssssssss
There are few places that I'll traverse the densities of LA for, just to get a hamburger. I know that when I come here, I'm gonna get blown away every time, not just by the food, but by the service of said food. Thank you Cassell's.
I thought the service was mediocre although the waiter was very nice. The burger was raw. I sent it back and then they hammered it so bad it wasn't even edible. I think they burned and over cooked it on purpose only because I thought it was under cooked. Also the ketchup bottle was empty as was the two on the tables next to us. Tell tail sign the kitchen is probably dirty. I loved the wedge salad tho
I just moved to LA and my boss brought me here for my first lunch. I loved the restaurant and atmosphere. Great food and the staff was real cool and helpful. I DEFINITELY will be bringing my family and friends here and I'll be back often myself!!
Business response:
Welcome to town!
Nice spot, adjacent to the Hotel Normandie. If not taking the train (easiest), just use the valet for parking. Fries not as beefy as at the old Cassell's but still very good. And the pies are amazing.
