I MISS IT!!! – I used to live in the LA area and was introduced to Casa Bianca in college. now that I live in the northwest, my husband and I both get these horrible cravings for Casa. We are going to visit soon and am dreaming about the garlic and pepperoni pizza and the most incredible antipasto salad anywhere!!! Got to have it. I have to agree about the mushrooms on the last review. They are canned, and they are gross. Stay away from the mushrooms and you are set. I'm not a huge pepperoni fan but I can't do anything else ... read more
Ok...long wait, "fake" mushrooms...what gives – I read through the reviews and thought I had a good piece of pie coming WRONG... I had read about the wait but 1 hour and 30 minutes..that's too long.. We ordered mushroom and onion pizza..and out comes a pie with tiny peices of onions and canned mushrooms..at that point I was too tried to yell back... PLEASE TRY ANOTHER PLACE
yummy pizza :) – i've lived in eagle rock all my life, but only recently tried this restaurant. it's similar to buca di beppo inside. it has a home-like atmosphere with friendly waiters/waitresses. i recommend their pizzas. their other entrees are o.k., but all the pizzas i've tried were pretty good. go get a pizza !
Thin Crust Cult Classic – I was skeptical as to whether this "institution" would live up to its name, but after one bite of paper-thin crusted pepperoni pizza, I was put in my (satisfied) place. Its a mob scene any day of the week, so I prefer to order out, but if you bring a crew and are willing to wait, its the family-friendly vibe and good service are well worth it.
Bring a bottle of zin and have a great time - – If you're looking for pretentiousness, get in your car and drive back to the Westside! This red-checkered tablecloth family restaurant has damn good pizza pie available in different crusts but they stick to the simple, for real toppings, none of that BBQ chicken nonsense that you can get everywhere nowadays. Portions are hearty - the BF and I shared a medium pizza and a caprese salad and came out stuffed. Corkage is an AMAZING $3 so you can bring a great bottle of vino (bring a... read more
All the true Angelenos will agree - this is the best pizza pie in the city. – I was born and raised in Pasadena and grew up eating at Casa Bianca. There is no dount that this place has the best pizza pie. But that is not all - their pastas are all out of this world. Especially the linguini alla vongole. Don't be afraid to try the desert too. You might not have any room but you can always get it to go. Be prepared to wait if you haven't made a reservation - this place is in high demand.
best pizza hands down – I have going to Casa Bianca for 5 years now. I don't live close but will make the drive. I have had a few of the other items on the menu but the Pizza is what rules. If you arrive too far into dinner time expect to wait. This place is well known for and there is a wait for a reason. Best to get there early. Staff is good. I've never had a problem with service. Price is reasonable however this is a cash only restaurant so be prepared.
Best Pizza in Los Angeles, maybe the entire West Coast – If you like pizza and haven't tried this spot, then get up and get on down to Casa Bianca. Sure Eagle Rock can be a little bit of a drive for most, but it is so worth it. The crust is thin and crispy, the sausage is amazing (homemade) and the place has a great old school east Coast feel. It gets extremely busy, but well worth the wait. I have had many birthday dinners here and its always a great time.
Disgraceful customer service from the owner – I just got off the phone from trying to change my reservation of 15 people to 18 people only to be screamed at by the owner stating that "they have certain rules in their restaurant" and that "some people just don't care". I am left completely shocked and disgusted that an owner of an establishment would be so outrageously rude to a potential customer. All she had to say was they don't like to seat any more than 16 people. Instead she attacked me and has totaly put me off the ide... read more
