If you enjoy being lied to and then, ignored, then Caruso is the builder for you. If you are looking for a company that hires quality subcontractors and stands behind their work, you may want to look elsewhere. The first warning signs went off when they installed the wrong roof framing on the garage portion of the house. I told them that they could just leave it that way, but they insisted on tearing it off and replacing it. I wish there was zero stars. Worst experience of our lives. Dishonest, terrible workmanship and no follow through on any of their promises. Punch out list was never addressed. Run away as fast as you can from this company.

Worst company I've ever had to deal with. It has been 5 months since we closed on our new home and we don't even have the 1st permit in hand due to this company's incompetence. We have two young daughters and Caruso has disrupted our family's lives by not doing a single thing they said they would do. Communication has been non-existent. You would hope a builder would be at least two out of three key things. Competent, courteous, and responsiveness. Caruso consistently misses on all three marks. We bought a spec home so were able to avoid many of the delays that everyone else is discussing but that did not save us from the "Caruso Experience." Not one person at this company follows-up, you have to be extremely aggressive and persistent to even get the chance to address minor issues. I wanted to relay my experience as a customer with the Maryland branch of Caruso Homes so that you can be aware when your employees are underperforming. I signed the build contract on 9/1/2020 and negotiated with my employer to be remote until I move into this house in May 2021. Nearly 14 months later, we are only now nearing a possible close. Couldn't have been a worse building experience. Screwed up just about everything along the way. The salesman didn't have answers to any of my questions and concerns. The quality of the work on all facets of the home is about D -quality. When you move in they don't even clean the home. Unacceptable in my opinion. They want to fight you along the way when trying to get odds and ends fixed once you move in.

After looking into a few others, Caruso was selected based on their false perception of being a higher quality builder. Standards reflective of the prices they are charging! However, after a year, things that need to be addressed still remain undone! Additionally, the lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and the use of cheap products experienced with this builder has left me greatly disappointed.
