Professional, compassionate care. Appreciate that the clinic always runs on time and is careful about notifying patients if a schedule change is necessary in advance. Also appreciate that he has clinic hours locally sparing the the 40 minute one way drive to his primary office.
When one discovers they have terminal cancer, the shock, the fear,...are overwhelming. A different doctor initially misdiagnosed me. I chose to see Carsten for a 2nd opinion. Despite a very busy schedule, he saw me quickly. He diagnosed me properly, prescribed a life regimen that has given me high quality of life, and continues to check on me often. Kampe has been an absolute blessing in my Cancer journey. I was referred to him by my breast Surgeon and I was FLOORED that his team called to schedule my initial consult almost immediately. I was quickly able to get in to meet him at the South Austin location. Dr Kampe is very knowledgable and stays up on the latest cancer treatments. He is genuinely interested in my overall health in addition to the breast cancer. Both him and his office are very efficient with appointments and test scheduling. He is professional and personable and an amazing doctor.
In 2006 I had a lumpectemy. Then I had 35-37 radiation treatments. Afterwards I saw Dr. Carsten Kampe who checked my lab test and had me take Arimadex for 5 years. Eventually, I only saw him once a year to check my blood work. He has been a great doctor, spending the appropriate time with me and asking questions. I will not be going back for any follow-up visits unless I develope any concerns related to cancer, but I will miss seeing him. I believe he is a great doctor.
