Carrabba's Italian Grill was founded in Houston, TX by Johnny Carrabba and Damian Mandola in December of 1986, who set out to create a restaurant experience where people felt like guests in their home. Both Johnny and Damian belong to one of Houston's most successful restaurant families, and many of the recipes on our menu are those of Damian's mother Grace and sister Rose. Damian travels the world in search of the best ingredients and most unique Italian dishes so Carrabba's food tastes authentic and delicious.

The girl that waited on us was amazing! She was so attentive, I dropped half my tilapia on the table trying to put it on another plate. She quickly brought me out another tilapia at no charge. She earned her large tip! Carrabas is my favorite place to eat and the one on Archer Rd in Gainesville Florida is the best!!

Phillip, our server, excellent! They sat us at the pizza station, which is the coldest spot in the restaurant ( they should warn patrons) , my husband and I had chattering teeth as we left, we will NEVER, sit there again. But one shining star to our experience was, Johnny, his quiet, precise demeanor as he prepared pizzas and desserts was fascinating to watch. Food was superb, as usual.
Sorry. We went there for dinner Dec 10. The place was packed so we sat at the bar. Wife ordered fettuccine with shrimp. Piles of fettuccine and four small shrimp. Had to ask for more sauce and it wasn't very good. I had the linguine with clam sauce. The clams in the shell stank so bad I was afraid to eat the linguine. They took them back and compt my portion of the meal. They kept mixing up our order so it took at least one hour before the food arrived. The third time it was right. My husband I go here once a year for my birthday. I look forward to their new entrées. Always leave full and happy. I'm in love with the blueberry sangria. The service is always on point. Cheers keep it up. �

Food is still good but a bit disappointed with the shrinking portion sizes and higher prices.
