John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

I am supperrr late with my review.. but here it is. I became a travel agent a year ago and decided to start traveling. I came to New Orleans for my bday with a group of others. We decided to stay @ Monteleone. At first I was nervous because we were rowdy and the hotel had a VERY prestige ambience. The staff was really friendly, especially Nolan the bellman. He made sure that we were all good at all times. The rooms are nice, we did have a hiccup with two rooms I had booked, but they handled it quickly. I loved my stay though... read more

Rooms are small...u dn feel luxurious here. I lived at W Dallas and Westin and to my surprise they were better.
One of the quarters finest-in staff, history, hospitality, food, ambiance--everything. I love staying at the Monteleone where I feel at home!
The Hotel Monteleone is one of my favorite hotels in the world. I love the history and the design. The staff is excellent as is the food. The rooftop pool is lovely on a hot day and the views from the roof are good. Bedding is good and I slept well. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great staff, great location. Look forward to returning and seeing everyone again. Thanks for a wonderful stay
