John Austin tickles the ivories at this piano bar from Wednesday through Saturday, but the real attraction is the Carousel Bar & Lounge itself at Hotel Monteleone. It's a carousel and really does revolve - all the time. The music goes until late and the cocktails served are out of this world like the "Truffletini" which is a mix of Bailey's Irish Cream with liqueurs. The ambiance has a slight feel of a Moulin Rouge setting, with bold lighting and motifs.

Perfectly situated in the heart of the French Quarter. One block from Bourbon Street where all the craziness is but far enough from the maddening crowds. The Criollo Restaurant and the Carousel Bar we discovered were completely our speed for great dining & partying!!! We will never go anywhere else to stay. We give The Monteleone a FIVE STAR RATING! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a very old well kept hotel. The ghosts are only active in the morning. the food is terrific. You will love staying in the French Quarter. Cafe Beignet is only steps away. You can walk to Canal street and the River walk.
We had a wonderful time. Fantastic accommodations. We will be back.
