absolutely the worse car purchasing experience you could imagine. there's absolutely no communication, constant run around. I was promised my vehicle by a certain date 3 different times, to be told they couldn't locate it to cover up the fact it was having technical difficulties, then. delt with 2 or 3 different managers over a 2.5 week period of time. absolutely would not recommend working with carmax in any fashion. we won't get into the fact my cars "detail" was less than satisfactory or that this is the only dealership I... read more

RecommendedI'm impressed with the integrity shown by the purchasing staff at CarMax in Pleasanton. We were looking for a used vehicle at the CarMax in Pleasant Hill, and decided to get an offer on our trade-in. The offer was valid for 7 days at any CarMax, and I specifically asked the sales associate if we needed to smog and re-register the car, as the registration date had passed. I took my 2009 Mini Cooper to CarMax in Westborough, Ma. Brian, the service person told me that if my car required more than a week to be serviced, that it would I could get a loaner car. I rented a vehicle for a week. Then went back to CarMax and asked for a loaner. They told me the parts were not in, and wouldn't be fixed until the following week.
