Carmax has a good selection of vehicles, place is clean and a pleasure to walk through the doors. They WILL NOT negotiate a price on a vehicle nor will they negotiate a trade in value. In essence, they call the shots and control the transaction. The price on the vehicle I was interested in buying was fair market price. I entered the information on my car in their system for a "guaranteed" trade-in price. In fine print, they tell you have to go there for the trade in value. If zero stars was an option thats what i would rate carmax, since i bought my car i have have an issue with the service department. They are very poor when it comes to proffesionalism as well as customer service skills. I went so far as to sell my car so i would not have to deal with them anymore. I strongly sugest to anyone that will listen do not i repeat do not send your buisness to carmax! Save your self the heart ache.

I went for an interview and arrived half and hour early. Informed the receptionist I was there, when I first walked in, and was instructed to sit down and wait. Waited fifteen minutes after the scheduled interview time, waiting a total of 45 minutes in the lobby, and not a single person told me anything. Got up and walked out. This should tell you all you need to know about their service, they can't even do Interviews at scheduled time. Don't work here, don't go there.

The service center only takes appointments. It was a week to get a check engine light diagnosed. Ridiculous! Don't get your extended warrenty through Carmax, because there's a monetary "incentive" to take your vehicle back to Carmax for service. But their service is terrible!!! Definitely not getting our next car from there.
