RecommendedChris Elkins and Marchi Lopez are the best for my boys! Was a patient myself and we have been a part of this practice for 38 years. Highly recommend these two if you have boys - and they are both big advocates and helpful navigating mental / behavioral problems. Thank you both for taking such great care of my boys!

22 years, that is how long I have been taking my children to this wonderful practice. One has aged out and the other will soon. Dr. Michael Smith has been their primary pediatrician. What a phenomenal doctor! Dr. Smith and staff gave excellent care to my two children, both with their share of issues ranging from ear infections and asthma to ADHD. Dr. Smith, you will be missed! Thank you for everything. Enjoy your retirement, you earned it!
I am super impressed with how Western Wake Pediatrics is handling their patients during this pandemic! People wait in their cars and questions are asked and temperatures taken before we are even allowed in the door. Only limited patients in the building at a time. Sick visits and well visits are at different times of day.
My son was born premature in 1999. Within two weeks of his birth, we went for our first appointment when he weighed 5lbs4oz. Yesterday, we went for our LAST appointment as he will soon be turning 21. We have loved all of the physicians and staff, especially Dr Smith, and I couldn't have gotten thru my son's illness without the fantastic tips and advice from NP Matthews! Leaving Western Wake is bitter sweet. 💜
for 4 years we came in and complained of the exact same problem. our daughters nose wouldn't clear and there was never any mucus drainage. 4 years of "Oh just come back in a few weeks and well give her more antibiotics". 4 YEARS OF NO ANSWERS! 4 YEARS OF NO ONE CHECKING THE PREVIOUS CHARTS and thinking hmm why does this keep happening. I finally got sick of the bull from western wake and called an ENT she needs 2 surgeries and may have permanent hearing loss. all in all probably spent 400+ on visits and medicine from bad rec... read more
Dr Natalie Austin is wonderful with our daughter. Addison loves going for her annual check up. The nurses and staff are the best.
I loved this doctors office until I had deal with the administrator Natasha. She was very nasty and rude and proceeded to tell me that the amount of the bill I was calling about didn’t warrant me calling. Someone in their office said I wasn’t to be billed and that they would take care of it in office I keep receiving bills and because I “challenged” the administrator my child was discharged form the practice. I asked to speak with anyone other then her about the matter but was told no one else could help me.
My Son has been going there since he was born They have done a wonderful job with him. Love all of the staff and providers.
I have been taking my daughters to western wake pediatrics for 7 years, and our experience there has been excellent, the staff os amazing! The Doctors are the best, every body there goes above and beyond to provide the best of care for our kids. I just gave birth and my little boy had a wonderful experience on his first appointment. Dr. Smith is the best!
