DONT GO HERE – DONT GO TO SCHOOL HERE ! YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF AND WONT LEARN A THING! ONE OF THE WORST REPUTATIONS AMONG OTHER SHOPS IN PORTLAND !

The BEST I could ever have!!! – Well, I finally got my first tattoo, and I did ALL my home work BEFORE having the procedure done. I went to several of the local shops and looked at everything from the staff,to their level of talent and experience, to the cleanliness and skill. So happy i found this place!! – Just moved to portland not long ago and started looking for a good shop.. I went into several shops to talk about getting some work, one guy told me they were booked out 3 months yet the 2 artists there were sittin around doin nothin the whole time i was there.. Great Artists and Great Personalities – I've been going to Captain Jack's for several years now. Jerry is phenominal and always makes the effort to listen, suggest, and never criticize any idea for your tattoo. Everyone we've delt with has been great. Every one of my pieces of art has a uniqueness to it that I'm proud to call mine.
Poor tattooing, not recommended at all! – I went to Captain Jack's for my first tattoo- it took him 25 minutes to do a small, black infinity sign. It's raised, and much of it flaked off, although I took very good care of it. My roommate got one as well, a small word. It too mostly flaked off, and is raised, although not as much as mine. The place was clean, with lots of art to choose from- and that was the only plus. Otherwise, they were terrible. Unfriendly, bad artists, bad experience completely.
Oh so very worth the time and money! – My friend and I had decided to get matching heart tattoos(cheesy I know) and had tried other shops only to get laughed and turned down. We then found Captain Jacks and i now go to Sean for all my tattooing needs. From my first impression walking in the door two years ago, i knew this place was it for me. Horrible place to go to – i got my first tattoe.. it was a kanji symbol on my right side of my lower back.. well the guy that did it FU&^ed it so bad . i have crazy scar tissue due to the guy presing to hard.. it is raised and you can run your hand over it and its bumpy. so i waited a year to go back in to make sure it was completly healed and have them touch it up well the pain was so bad i passd out and they only got to touch up half of it cause i started to sweel really bad.. please people only go there for peircing i can... read more
