Sounds like a GRUDGE to me.... We have an OUTSTANDING success rate that speaks for itself. If YOU weren't successful, well then it sounds like YOU didn't apply yourself. Lack of work ethics and maturity we can't teach... It's a pre-req....

I got what I came for!!! I wanted to be a licensed Tattoo Artist... Enrolled in this program, and learned everything (and then some) I need to know to pass my licensing exam. I even have several job connections now too! Thanks Captain Jack's!

Horrible school + horrible tattoo shop – This school is such a joke. A friend of mine recently went there and it was a constant rip-off. The owner takes your money and teaches nothing in return. The students are left to teach each other unsupervised in a room full of worn, broken furniture. and contaminated supplies. The whole atmosphere of the place has a junky, worn down feeling. Unsupervised students learning to tattoo equals contaminated shop. Even the "shop" side has flash from the 90s with junk everywhere. Youll notice... read more

Thanks Captain Jacks!! – Hey P-Town, I have to give props when props are deserved, and this place deserves ALL props! I graduated the program & I too, am a ink slinging, LICENSED artist. All the artists and instructors were great and I invested wisely picking this school. At Captain Jacks, man they keep it real and that's what made me successful in the biz! To the writer below "RandomForward, I can tell by reading your bunk post that you are a grudged student. Dave runs a tight ship, and he should. If you are doing your work... read more

Don't even think of going to school here! – I wish I could give it -1 star. And I think that a lot of their "reviews" on here were written by shills, or their own employees. The owner is making money hand over fist and doesn't teach anything. Students use binders full photocopies from commonly available tattoo books and the students who have been there longest teach the students who are new arrivals. Sometimes the employees would "let" the students watch them work, but that was rare. There was no instruction at all, except f... read more

Love Love LOVE!! – Well, I decided to get a tattoo for my 7 month old son on my wrist. this was my 2nd tattoo and i was a little nervous as it's just a little bigger than my first and in a place I get to look at it for the rest of my life as opposed to on the back of my neck, out of sight, out of mind. I walked in on my lunch break, made an appointment for 7pm the same day and i am SO pleased. SO SO SO pleased! Steve did an amazing job, made me feel very at home and not nervous at all. Of course, it's never as bad as you thi... read more

Another terrible experience at this place – I got a cover up here about a year ago, well I wanted to get a cover up. Instead, I got a crappy crooked bare minimum design. The artist told me to scrub it when I got home?!?!? I think he must have known he screwed up and wanted me to try to "wash off" whatever I could. Aftercare instructions were basically "do nothing". I left without even being taped up, there was only a piece of gauze stuck to me and I was sent on my way, no paperwork, no nothing. I have recently come to find o... read more
