Delicious seafood, with some adventurous daily specials, this place is super good.
We came to Captain Groovy's tonight with our kids after a long day spent at Water Country. Our waitress was patient with our tired selves needing extra time to decide on dinner, and was friendly and sweet to our boys. Every single thing that hit the table was excellent, and the tuna poke was to die for, even according to my hubby who used to be a commercial fisherman. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it. Great chef, great waitress, great, quality ingredients.

Not the worst, but running close. A party of 6 and 5 meals were served. She crab soup was offered while the 6th waited for his meal. Mine was one of the 5. I had the bali chicken with a substitution of onion rings. The chicken was hard as a hocckey puck and inedible the onion rings were actually onion straws and had calimari rings mixed with them. Next morning I woke with the scallop allergic reaction headache. I am sure they fried scallop in the same greese as the onion straws and why not they use it for calimari? The other... read more

My mother and I were trying to decide where to grab dinner and we chose Captain Groovy's based on their website. So great! Super laid-back, energetic service, delicious fare.... I'll definitely return next time I need my beach fix. Groovy Daddy Nachos and Painkillers on the patio with the fans was PERFECT.
Food was very good. However, it is the first restaurant I've ever been to that only lets you have 1 free refill on soda, if you want more, you get charged another $2.
I've eaten there many times and had wonderful meals.....last nite 5 of us had dinner....my steamed clams were tough and tasteless....my oyster sandwich also had no taste....I love oysters, all I tasted was the breading....I was very disappointed.
