I am writing this from our beautiful new sun-soaked upstairs retreat in Bentleigh. called them and spoke to someone about a potential extension. at first they seemed to know what they were talking about made a couple of suggestions which sounded good. I decided to check with other builders who said was not possible and certain things in the area couldn't be done. Decided to go with one of the other companies.
After reading all the wonderful reviews we decided to get Capital to do our extension and renovation. What a huge mistake. It has been an expensive exercise and has turned into a disaster with so many issues. How and why did it all go so wrong? Poor supervision? Poor subcontractors / trades? Or a combination of both? We recently completed a renovation in Glen Iris, Victoria, with Travis and his team, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Our expensive extension and renovation has not and did not go to plan and has turned into a disaster. Communication was lacking and what was received was poor and inaccurate. There were multiple errors by trades and specifications not followed. Works were due to be completed Oct 24 yet still remain incomplete with Capital disputing the defects, non compliant and incomplete works. Since they walked off the site prior to completing the works - we have had blocked toilets and blocked showers due to plumbing works they undertook... read more
