RecommendedI want to thank Dr. Buckner and Paula Gollihugh in the ER and nurses, Dana and Callie (prn) on the Oncology floor 5 South for the outstanding care my grandmother received her final two days of life. Callie and Dana went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable and that I was taken care of while I stayed with her. I appreciate their attentiveness and support during this emotional time.
Can someone give me a reasonable explanation as to why a patient who is being admitted would have spend more than 20 hours in the ER at CAMC Memorial? Patients are being told there are no beds. I wouldn’t think that would be something a hospital would want to let people know, especially CAMC, who boasts of being the largest hospital in the area and providing the best patient care. No one has to wait that long for a bed at other area hospitals.
I have always had great care here.

Absolutely worst experience. Waiting 6 hours in ER ... still waiting. Nurses loud and laughing, inappropriate talk and language. I’m beyond disgusted. Very unprofessional!

seemed to be nice but hardly saw a nurse and seen a doctor 1 in 24hrs
