BEST EVER FOOD! This place is always packed with people because it is so good. The half hour to hour wait is soooo worth it. They have the best burritos and salads anywhere. It is so simple, but it is so good too. They give you a ton of food too.
The best restaurant ever! This is my absolutle favorite restaurant to eat at. They make fresh tortillas right in front of you and are always packed. The best item in my opinion is the Pork salad. I dont not like meat but I will eat there pork anyday. Its actually the most popular menu item is anything with pork in it. They are fairly cheap as well. Cafe Rio Best Tex-Mex restaurant that I have ever been too. Way better than Chevy's. Great tasting food and a reasonable price. The owners obviosly know how to run a successful busines.. PROS: Very good food. CONS: The line to get food can take up to 45 minutes to an hour.
"We don't care" the NEW Cafe Rio I've been a big fan of Cafe Rio since it first opened. Well in the past week I've had two bad experiences in a row at two different stores. First they added cheese on top when I told them no enchilada style. It seems like for the past year or two they try really hard to ignore your words in an attempt to get an extra dollar out of your pocket. My favorite Taco Salad-and other good stuff too! I have been eating at Cafe Rio's across the Wasatch Front for 5 yrs. I have tried all combinations of their food in that time. They have a heart-healthy menu where if you need to you can get low fat food and still have a delicious meal. Shrimp tacos I decided to try to the coconut shrimp tacos the other day for the daily special. Wow! Although they were super messy to eay, I really liked them.
Not this location!! (Skyline) I love Cafe Rio's food, I really do, but I do not recommend this location. I have been here 3 times, (yes, I did give this location chances.) The first time I went there was no one in the line to greet me let alone take my order, once they did take my order they were very rude. My husband and I ordered the fire grilled chicken enchiladas and they barely but any cheese inside or outside of the enchiladas and when my husband asked them to put a little more cheese on them, they charged us for it. Killer buritos Being from Canada, Mexican food is far and in between. I love Rio, my wife loves Rio. The smoothered steak burrito enchilada style with hot sauce rocks my socks. It is one tasty treat. I would recommend Rio to anyone, this location is great as well. Coming home from a weekend skiing adventure just drop by - very convenient. PROS: Yummy CONS:
