The only great mexican food in Utah Cafe Rio is a great place to pick up a burrito. It has a great casual atmosphere and their employees are always friendly. Don't be shocked if you see a huge line. The line moves quickly. Everything is fresh and tastes that way. Plus, if you buy 7 meals you get a meal free. A great deal for your $$.
Love it! Been here several times and have never had a bad experience. I am always impressed how clean the restaurant is and the service of the employees.

Cafe Rio Cafe Rio is a fabulous place to grab a bite to eat! They have a limited mexican food menu, but everything on there is done to perfection! Personal favorites include their Enchilada style burrito with shredded pork and their huge salad with tomatillo dressing. Prices are low (around $4-$8 a plate). The wait here is almost always a little long (the line is often out the door), but for good reason! The food is great! PROS: Great Food! Low Prices! CONS: none
Ok, but not authentic Cafe Rio enjoys an unparalleled praise from the residents of Utah--which is probably well earned--but is far from being authentic Mexican food. The ingredients and their combination have been adapted to more local tastes and if you go there you have to be expecting it or you will be sorely disappointed. We love this place so much!! Cheaper and better than PIZZA :) The other day, we spent 23.00 on pizza. After eating the marginal food we were wishing we had just gone and spent 17.00 on Cafe Rio Take-out for 4 people. We love this place. One of my friends loves it so much, she took the time to figure out how they make the yummy pork barcoba...or however you spell it. Anyway....eat here...you won't be sorry. PROS: Tasty FOOD!! CONS: Long lines...crowded seating...we like to get TAKE OUT.
awful, plasticy food i never even bothered to go in since the line was always too long every time i went. but my cousin had them cater at her wedding. it was terrible- dry and flavorless. by the way my husband IS mexican and he hates it worse than i do.
Insanely Popular for a reason Like Tex-Mex? Eat here. Cafe Rio is ridiculously popular here in provo for their cheap prices, huge portions, and very tasty entres. Expect to wait 20~30 minutes if you go during dinner time or slightly less at lunch. Want to skip the queue? Call ahead and get it to go.. In any case, you will love the food once you get it. Everything I've had on the menu is good an filling: You can't go wrong!
Yummy, yummy in my tummy :-) This place has delicious Mexican style meals prepared right in front of you. Everything is absolutely fresh, the employees are having fun, and it tastes oh so delicioso! Lines can get long, but they do move quickly. I also wish they had better kids meals options, since the choices are pretty limited. PROS: Great food at very reasonable prices CONS: Lines can get long and they need kid meal options.
