Average at best – I visited from out of town and if this is what you consider as one of the "best" restaurants in Chicago...then you need to get out more often. Ambience was horrible, very tacky. The restaurant was cold which cooled the "hot" tapas quickly. Food was bland and so was the sangria.
WHAT?? – How did this place get best restaurant? The food here is hot garbage on a plate. The service here is even worse. Do they have waiters?
Excellent meeting place! – Delicious tapas. Sangria has a nice kick to it. Great place to meet some friends and catch up. I'd go early though!
Crowd pleaser – Everytime my girlfriends and I get together here, we have a blast. This place has a great atmosphere, with great 'scenery', if you know what I mean. The after work crowd is generally young single professionals, great place to meet people. There is something on the menu for everyone. Perfect place for a small group of friends who need to catch up on the latest news over food and drinks. The goat cheese and marinara is my favorite, along with the olives. The Sangria is worth mentioning too, try it. Great place ... read more
Fantastic – Food was excellent, hostess was very flexible in accomodating our (late) large party! It was a little loud and crowded, but that was fine for our group. Given the variety of tapas we ordered (just about everything on the menu!), I was surprised that it was ALL so good! Great place...can't wait to go back.
The spirit of Spain resides here – Run by a shrud "gallego" original of the NW of Spain, this restaurant reflects the importance that every galician person puts on food. Has an assortment from every corner of the Peninsula Iberica and an atmosphere that trasports you overseas.
Decent – It's a fun little place to go out, some of the dishes are pretty good, and the desserts are not bad. Not the best tapas bar, but certainly not the worst.
Consistently great! – This place is a night out! You don't need to have dinner in a place and then go out to a bar: that's why I love it. I will gladly spend time at the bar with a pitcher of Sangria while a wait for a table (although it's usually longer), and then have our aweaome tapas! And through the years the food has remained consistently great!
YUM!!! – cafe iberico is great! Definitely the best tapas bar in Chicago. well worth a visit.
