A few friends and I had lunch here yesterday. The atmosphere was fun and funky. The staff was friendly and waitress was pretty attentive. The Chicken salad sandwich and crab cakes sandwiches were yummy!

My wife and I ate at Cafe Hon on January 5. The food was great, especially the crab soup, the people were friendly and the restaurant was very cool.
Mediocre, too much salt on fries, Luke warm chili.
Saturday, over 60 folks from the Y of Central Maryland (Ward and Parkville Centers) celebrated the holiday season with a great lunch at the Café Hon. From the time we arrived until we left EVERYTHING was fabulous! Cafe Hon is staffed with a very pleasant, courteous waitstaff and has a generous, accomodating owner. Unlike Joey below, there was no significant delay in the order preparation. All the dishes were brought out in a timely fashion, despite us ordering five very different courses! Bottom line: I would recommend this restaurant to a friend. Good times ! :) ^_^ :D
The atmosphere was fun as always, and the service was good. The Maryland crab soup was delish. However, the egg salad sandwich, which the menu said had celery and dill had neither and was also not served on cheese toast as promised but regular toast. Still tasty but not what was expected. My husband's cinnamon roll was tough from being warmed up in the microwave. We were visiting from Tucson. I doubt that I would go out of my way to eat here on my next visit.
