Bad food, smells, stay away! – For some reason everytime I've gone here it smells like someone threw up. The only thing worth eating here are the chips and salsa, which isn't free even when you buy meals. Their food does not have an authentic taste, too salty. Do not get anything with mahi mahi in it. They have no beers on tap. The waitresses aren't the best. Don't waste your time here!
Great happy hour for drinks – The crowd is mostly locals in the mid to upper 20s and maybe low 30s. The happy hour drink special is the best deal. Everything's 2 for 1 and if you get a mixed drink (margarita, rum/coke, jack/coke, etc) you can double it and get one big glass, instead of 2 smaller ones. The only major downside is that there aren't any happy hour deals on their food. The appetizers are all pretty good - especially considering most of it is "bar food." During big sporting events/games it gets pretty rowdy and pa... read more
Nothing special about it – Ok, the atmosphere is primarily UCLA students/alumni. The staff is friendly and especially to the guys (make that tip girls). The food is horrible! We ordered the chicken wings and let's say it was a shame the chickens were sacrificed (order them next door at Q's). We ordered something else but my memory blocked that out entirely. We went during Super Bowl (a year or two ago) and even though it was crowded, there was no drama. We got there early enough to find a great table.
A chain microbrewery satisfies with comfort-food classics and award-winning beers. – The Scene BJ's boasts a trendy reclaimed-barn look with vaulted redwood beams. Eclectic touches abound; rococo mirrors sparkle against corrugated-iron walls and the odd chandelier sprouts absentmindedly amidst Art Deco lamps. The bar area boasts beer-label posters and the ubiquitous big-screen TV blaring the big game on ESPN. The Food The extensive, carbo-loaded menu is perfect for buffering those home brews. The bruschetta, loaded with toma... read more
Craziness – this place is crazy. 2 for 1 drinks until 8 pm make this place dangerous!! decent food, good margaritas.
great bar food! Atmosphere! Music! – Almost always crowded with UCLA students, this place rocks! The food is unexcpectidly delicious! wings and Natchos are my favorites! High volume of people guaranties fresh food! Margharittas are tasty and large enough for the money! Music varies from 80's rock and ballads to newer tunes but it always energetic and a great background for conversations. Waitresses are friendly and service is great for a bar. Only drawback is that it will take you a while to grab a table...but hey, once agai... read more
Spring break? – It was a cool sit down sports place. Its not a place where u would want to go on a saturday night. The Happy hour was insane 2 for 1 everyday from 4pm to 8 pm. The atmosphere felt like i was in spring break. The service is cool and they had plenty of sports even soccer which was cool.
Great conversation, not so great food. – My husband, a friend and myself went there today for lunch. The whole mexican/sports bar thing works well. The outer seating is nice and they have heaters. There is a t.v viewable from EVERY angle, so if you want to catch a few games, you'll get it. Go early and there's no crowd. The atmoshpere and conversation were great, but the food was bland and unoriginal. The fajita sandwhich had no flavor and the burger was just a burger. The server was great though. Sweet and very welcoming. T... read more
happy hours are great! – I've only been here for happy hours which features a twenty-something crowded bar, 2 for 1 drinks, and tasty appetizers. The atmosphere is great and the service is friendly. You can either stay inside or sit by the outside patio area. There's also an upstairs they open up when it's crowded or on the weekends.
