Good, casual bar...but nothing special – Not too bad of a bar, but not that great either. Could use more girls, and less guys.
Worst place ever – Great place to hang out with washed up trash. And that's just the waitresses. Talk to server Ashleah. Wait, she'll prolly just ignore you and charge you for stuff you never ordered. But seriously. Don't go here. I've been going there for 5 years. Unexpected Fail – This place was almost great on St. Patty's day, until the Reverse-Racist-Anti-Whitey-Im-a-Blacky bouncer came up and kicked my friend out. My friend was casually talking to friends from his school when a big old Blacky came up to him with a lovely bouncer shirt on and told him to step off the line. Funny thing was, he wasn't on the line. Tons of Fun! – If you have ever spent a Spring Break in Mexico, Cabo is good at recreating the atmosphere and two-for-one happy hour can't be beat! Its usually pretty busy so get there early if you want a seat. The food is pretty good for a bar. The 3rd St. location has outside seating, great for people watching and the Marina Del Ray Cabo is less than a block from the beach.
Nothing to recommend – This is for the 3rd St. location in particular, but also applies to the one on Wilshire and on Washington. If you like your bars to be dirty, if you like to smell like the kitchen because of poor ventilation, if you despise being waited on, and you would prefer to be overcharged for your food and drinks, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, there's no reason to waste your time at any of these locations.
Love Cabo 3rd Street – I go to Cabo 3rd street all the time. Happy hour is cheap. Food isnt really great-but its a BAR! Typical drunken crowd, cute waitresses (although I havent seen my favorite waitress in some time)...friendly bartenders...
OVER RATED – cheezy, drunk crowd, over priced "2 for 1" happy hour, smokey, small seating areas, not enough restrooms, rude or stupid wait staff (didn't care to find out), marginal food.
Cool Laker game spot – Caught game 4 of the NBA Finals here. The waitresses were all polite and very fast in bringing us our drinks. From my research, this was the only spot that didn't attempt to overcharge patrons in L.A. during the Finals. Regardless of the high-profile L.A. sporting event being played --much to my surprise -- drinks were still 2-1. That alone warrants a 5-star rating. Waitress forgot Happy Hour – A bunch of us went there for happy hour. The waitress has forgotten that it was happy hour and brought everybody only one drink (while happy hour you will get two drinks for the price of one). When we reminded her politely she apologized and brought us the other drinks. The bar was pretty crappy though, with dirty tables, chaos and jam packed. A Santa Monica hangout to booze and hook up somebody.
