I went with my son and daughter in law and we consider ourselves foodies and fair/objective critics. Although we thought everything was fair to good, for the price nothing stood out except the corn soup. We felt the prices were high compared to other fine dining places and that service, quality and quantity fell short. We did the tasting with wine pairing, everything was just ok. Absolutely phenomenal food. Best Salmon plate I have ever had! All six of us loved it. Great service as well!
I wouldn't bother. We got there kinda late on a Friday nt, but still well before close, seated quickly since not really many there and service still acted as if they were put out by us and the from our dishes I wud say so was the kitchen. Not impressed. At all.
This is the second time there. Food was amazing. On Friday, April 29, I made reservations for a group of 4 of us and I planned a marriage proposal to my girlfriend. C.1880 was very accommodating with helping me with my acoustic guitar player that played while I proposed. The manager was very helpful in making this night special. Thank you so much! By the way she said yes!!!!!
