I only go once a year, or so, and the always stick me with the nurse practitioner.
I was left in exam room for 50 minutes before being seen. Dr. Schramm didn't even examine me, just took me at my word about my self diagnosis and wrote the prescription I asked for. It would have been nice if they would have just called the prescription in, but they insisted I come in, I'm guessing so that they could bill my insurance for the visit.
I used to work for this physician years ago and saw behind the scenes how much he cares for his patients. You can tell he became a Physician to help people, not because of greed like so many other physicians. Yes, his wait times can be a little lengthy however once you are in the room with him you will feel his utmost attention on you and will answer every question you have in detail and will not rush you. He is very helpful, very easy to talk to and when you can get into his office will provide very good care for your problems. You can garantee he is not arrogant and condescending and you will recieve the care you need.
I was referred by a long time patient and up until I moved I was a patient myself for almost 10 years. I miss him tremendously. He doesn't act like he knows everything and will find the answer if he doesn't know. He continually goes to seminars and classes to keep up to date with the latest in medicine. He will go into great detail explaining your situation to you and make sure you understand. He's so nice and the staff even though they stay super busy, are usually very pleasant. I have been a patient of Dr. Schramm's for over 20 years, he's an excellent doctor and has always correctly diagnosed any situations that I've had. I refer all of my friends and family to Dr. Schramm without hesitation.
Dr. Schramm is a very knowledgeable doctor with better than average attentiveness to patients' needs. He personally performs annual physicals and calls personally with test results. I recently went to the ER with severe pain in my left side. The ER doctor predicted a kidney stone, did a CT scan without contrast, and when his prediction was not confirmed, sent me home with pain pills and orders to see my doctor within 24 hrs. Very long wait times ... usually over an hour even with an appointment. Staff is not friendly. On top of that, I have doubts about Dr Schramm's competence ... he misdiagnosed me. I went to him with back pain and he took X-Rays, gave me pain killers and sent me home. A year or so later, I again had back pain and he gave me more pain killers. A year after that, I had a ruptured disc and had to undergo surgery.
